I took a few pictures last night but they didn't turn out good. So I was playing around with Google Maps today and got a satellite view with a line showing the route I take to get from point A to point B. Seeing this site is giving me some ideas and I think I will do some postings of places I have been, shown from a satellite's point of view. Click the photo to go to the Google Map.

Courtly Settings

As anyone who knows me will attest to I love architecture. It's why I do it. I hate conventional styles where one buildin g is designed to fit in with others. This isn't one. This is a shot of the new Federal Courthouse in downtown Fresno. The cladding is precast concrete panels with a repetitious pattern that is similar to the one in the windows. This is the rear of the building (as seen from my office). The front side is on Tulare Street and is much more intersting with canopies with cantilevered window sections. I hope Fresno takes note and decides to do more diverse projects and not just the normal "cookie cutter" architecture that proliferated in the 70's.

The sky was brain colored and the thunder sounded like something remembering something.

I love the rain, and this morning I woke up to it. I love the smell of clean air, which in Central California is a rare thing. As I was heading to my car to go to work I decided to snap this shot showing the clouds over the ranch. Not the best photo, but a good one none the less.

Don't expand your mind, expand your waistline

As I am leaving the Enchantress's house I decide to get dinner. So for some reason I am craving Jack N The Box tacos and there is one near her house on Ashlan and Hwy. 99. I realized I need to stop eating this crap as it feels like I am waiting in line to get fat. No more. Yeesh.

View with a lunch.

Was starving and went and got some grease balls. Came back and could't find any parking. Had to park at the far end of the building where the bums fear to tread. Had a nice view of PG&E though.
